We spent the weekend in Wausau at Grandpa and Grandma’s house. Our very good friends Kristin and Lewis finally made it state-side (from their home base in Brussels) along with baby Zella and big brother Miles. As an added bonus Kristin’s sister Mandy was also in town. The kids had a great time in the northwoods heat. Being nudy-butt and splashing in the river plus ice cream in the middle of the day, life doesn’t get much better.
“See Cooper you’re supposed to sleep in hammocks. Like this, here I’ll show you. Wanna try it? No? Just want to swing huh? Well, we can do that!”
The adults finally got a minute to enjoy an amazing lunch of gazpacho and gaucamole prepared by Lewis and Mandy when all of the kids went down for a nap at the same time.
It started off friendly enough with the babies playing happily on the grass while big brother Miles showed off his kicking skills.
Then Zella went in for a kiss….
(trust me Cooper, some day it won’t seem so bad)

Playing with Dad and Grandma, watching the wake behind the boat, with all that fun Cooper thought we wouldn’t notice him try to make
a break for it. But, that Grandpa’s pretty fast!
Cooper’s finally figured out cross-crawling. No more inchworming it across the floor, this kid is cruising.
Guess I’d better take up running again ’cause otherwise there’s no way I’m gonna be able to keep up.
